This is a placeholder terms-of-use page for Lumo AI while we draft the full agreement. The TL;DR for public preview:

What it is. Lumo AI is an AI-assisted learning platform. It generates study artifacts (notes, flashcards, quizzes, mind maps, slides, audio overviews, infographics, simplified explanations, study guides) from sources you provide.
What it isn’t. A substitute for primary sources, professional advice, or grading judgement. Always verify facts that matter.
Don’t. Upload content you don’t have the right to use; attempt to bypass rate limits; submit instructions designed to elicit harmful output.
An account is required to generate. Since 12 August 2026, generating study material — transforms, uploads, flashcard explanations and audio — requires a free account. There is no signed-out generation, and /demo leads to sign-up.
Free limits. A free account generates 3 times per day (6 per hour). Paid plans raise this. Limits are enforced per account, not per device.
Shared networks. To prevent bulk account creation being used to consume AI capacity, we also cap total generations from accounts less than 24 hours old on the same network. The ceiling is set well above normal classroom or household use. If you are on a school or library connection and hit it, contact us — we would rather raise it than block a real class.
Service availability. Best effort during preview; no SLA.
Account termination. Either side may terminate at any time; your data is exported on request before deletion.
